Will they be really hurt if you skip them? And would you care if they are?
If you think a friend or relative might be really offended if you don’t invite them, it’s probably best not to hurt their feelings.
Would they cause drama at the wedding?
If you think that they’d cause unnecessary drama that could ruin your day, it’s okay to not invite them, even if they do get hurt. It is YOUR big day, after all.
Do you want to be in touch with them in the future?
Some people may get super upset if you don’t invite them to your wedding! If you’re okay with cutting all contact with them, go ahead and scratch their name from the guest-list. But if you do want them in your life, it’s probably best to avoid the drama and invite them.
Did they/ would they invite you to their wedding?
If they invited you to their wedding, it’s only polite to return the favour and invite them to yours. But if they do check out on the above questions, it’s okay to pass up that one name.
Hope that clears your confusion!
