Kunal & Aekta Nadiad : This wedding is a huge inspiration for decor and is nothing short of royalty.

Kunal & Aekta Nadiad : This wedding is a huge inspiration for decor and is nothing short of royalty.

The Story

Aekta and Kunal tied the knot in a traditional Gujarati ceremony. This traditional wedding had a mix of both intimate and extravagant functions.

The Love story

The couple had a quintessential arranged marriage but love blossomed soon. Aekta and Kunal’s fathers had a mutual friend who thought that they would make a beautiful couple.

“Initially, I and Kunal didn’t talk much but we opened up on one thing and that’s food. We both love to try new and different cuisines and I believe that was our icebreaker.”

The couple dated for 8 months, post which Kunal proposed to Aekta in the most romantic way – Rose petals decorated in a heart shape with candles all around and Kunal down on his knees. Dreamy, isn’t it?

The Wedding Festivities

The wedding was entirely taken care of by the couple’s families.  The couple had a beautiful lotus themed wedding and the decor was a total surprise for the groom. Why? Kunal means Lotus and the entire wedding theme was based on the same.

As a wedding favor, the couple gave away Tulsi sapling to the people who attended the wedding.

Mehendi

The wedding ceremonies kickstarted with a traditional yet colourful Mehendi ceremony. The bride wore a beautiful navy blue lehenga paired with a peach dupatta and the groom wore a peach asymmetric kurta and a bandh gala jacket.

Haldi

The couple had a traditional Haldi ceremony. The decor with vibrant colours and flowers added a charm to the ceremony. The bride wore a yellow saree with golden zari work and the groom wore a beige kurta.

Sangeet

The couple had a stunning New York-themed Sangeet ceremony – All bright and bling. The bride wore a pretty peach lehenga adorned with zardosi work and the groom looked classy in his black bandhgala with golden embroidery.

Wedding

The wedding had a lotus themed decor with metal cutouts. The bride wore a beautiful red lehenga with heavy zardosi work and she paired it with dual dupattas, one in pastel green and the other one in red. The groom complemented her in a beige sherwani.
