Ritesh & Suvidha Delhi : A Fairytale Wedding with a Bride in a Glamorous Red Lehenga
Suvidha and Ritesh may have a quintessential love story, but it is unique in its own way. The two lovebirds tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in Delhi.
The Love Story
Theirs is a story that spells Bollywood romance! Suvidha and Ritesh resided in the same society for six years but never crossed paths. In April 2017, Suvidha took a trip to Kasol with her friends and bumped into Ritesh over there. Suvidha gushingly says, “The distance between our homes is only 200 meters but I guess we were destined to meet 8000 feet above sea level in the mountains!” They got talking since the trip and before you know, they were madly in love with each other! Whether it’s a coincidence or not, the number 18 is quite special to them. “My birthday is on 18th April, his is on 18th September. He proposed to me on 18th July, our wedding day is 18th January and we left for our honeymoon on 18th February!” says the new bride.
The Wedding Planning
The wedding planning was a smooth process. They gave ample time to planning and making sure that it is a successful event. They wanted to keep it simple and stuck to only a few functions like sagan, mehendi and wedding.
The Engagement Ceremony
Suvidha and Ritesh’ wedding festivities kicked off with an intimate sagan or engagement ceremony. Suvidha wore a cream lehenga with intricate embroidery and paired it with a rust pink crop top and cream jacket. Ritesh, on the other hand, was seen in a brown asymmetrical kurta.
The Mehendi Ceremony
Colourful drapes, upside-down hanging embroidered umbrellas and genda phool decor made a lovely atmosphere for the mehendi ceremony. The bride wore a pretty pink dress and a floral maang tika. The groom too got his hand henna’d for his bride!
The Wedding
Finally, the D-day arrived! Suvidha looked drop-dead gorgeous in a red lehenga. She opted for smokey eyes and nude lips in terms of the makeup. What caught our attention was her heavy necklace! Another thing that we loved was her pink sneakers. Yes, she ditched heels and opted for sneakers instead! Ritesh wore red and golden sherwani to complement his bride’s attire.
