Brides are known to worry about a gazillion things when it comes to their wedding ensemble- their lehenga, jewellery, hair, makeup, and the list goes on! However, grooms have only a few accessories with which they can make a style statement, and the safa is one of the prominent ones.Â
Safa, a type of turban, is quintessentially made up of different types of fabrics and designs. Grooms these days wither opt for Safas which are completely in contrast to their sherwani colour or else ones that blend in to keep a more elegant look. From printed to floral and from plain pastels to shaded, there are a plethora of Safas available to dulhas to choose from.Â
Apart from the designs, grooms are paying a whole lot of emphasis on the fabric types as well. Yes, you can play around with different fabrics if you want this part of your outfit to stand out and grab more attention! You can take your pick- Benarasi, Brocade, Silk, Chanderi Silk, Cotton Chiffon, Crepe, Raw Silk, Leheriya and Bandhini.
Here are some Safas that particularly caught my attention and I am sure y’all will love them too:

Whether it is plain pastel colours or dark ones that catch all the attention, monotone safas are quite a rage! These are usually found in silk and Chanderi silk fabrics. Colours like gold, ochre, and rose gold are beige are winning hearts, primarily because they complement the colours of most sherwanis.
2. Floral SafasÂ

Floral safas are dreamy and add an extra oomph to the groom’s ensemble. A floral-printed safa can instantly add a casual and quirky charm. They are colourful and vibrant! Moreover, not only the groom the baraatis can also wear matching safas. Floral safas are usually made from stiff materials.Â
3. Printed Safas

For grooms who don’t want to stick to typical monotone safas, the printed ones are always an option. If you want to keep it understated and sober, you can go in for lighter motifs that blend with the colour of the safa. However, if you want something more eye-catchy, you can upgrade your ensemble with fun prints like polka dots, ethnic patterns, etc.Â
4. Shaded FabricsÂ

Tie and dye and soft ombre effects are a major hit when it comes to grooms’ safas. You could either pick two similar colours or go in for two contrasting ones. However, make sure that they suit the shade of the sherwani well.Â
5. Leheriya Safas

Multi-coloured leheriyas look amazing and add so much colour to the groom’s outfit! Also, it adds a traditional touch and you can pair a monotone sherwani with a leheriya safa!
All set to rock a trendy safa on your D-day?
