Aashish & Parisa Delhi : Aashish and Parisa just got hitched in a beautiful The Imperial Hotel, Delhi wedding

Parisa and Aashish just got hitched in a beautiful GK1 Gurudwara, Delhi wedding with the most quirky and happy mehndi we've seen at The Imperial Hotel, Delhi! With the beauty of the gurudwara lending an open air feel, The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi provided the couple with the perfect venue for their mehndi functions!

Proposal

"We know each other since 11 years. Childhood love. It took us 5 long years to convince my parents for the marriage" gushes Parisa, the bride.

Childhood love is almost always believed to be futile, puppy love, not really converting into anything. "It wasn't like that with Aashish and I. I think for us, it was a case of just simply having found the right person. We saw each grow through all the phases of our lives. 11 years is a long time to really understand someone. So it didn't matter if we were from two different religions"

How did the wedding planning go?

Being from two different religions obviously mattered. However, Parisa and Aashish's family pulled it off like a pro. Parisa says,

"being a Hindu muslim marriage there were a lot of differences hence we decided to first do a court marriage and then do a gurdwara wedding Even though aashish is not Sikh. He’s punjabi. My mother played a really big and important role in our marriage. She was one person who did everything possible to keep the two sides happy and satisfied. On the other hand aashish has two sisters who were my friends even before i met aashish so that was a strong point for both of us and I’ve two brothers who have an amazing bond of friendship with aashish.

Our wedding was a roller coaster ride. From engagement to mehendi to gurdwara wedding to reception, all our functions were full of fun and craziness. Though we are from completely different cultures. We tried to adapt each other’s culture and give our best. Also by gods grace we both have such good friends who have been there to support us throughout. Also me n Aashish had done all our functions ourselves.

There was no involvement of any other family member in our wedding planning. From roaming around for venues to finalising the decor, menus, dj everything was just mine n aashishs decision and this was something which made our journey quite easy and smooth. Our roka happened in January and we had just 2 months to finalise everything"

Mehndi function

From bright colors to intricate mehndi designs, the mehndi function at The Imperial Hotel, Delhi was a fun affair. We love the bright teal blue lehenga with a golden embroidery overlay, paired perfectly with a golden peplum top. We also love how clean and intricate the mehndi designs for Parisa were, creating the perfect composition and their portraits!
