Nirmal & Asha Mumbai : Traditional Wedding Affair with Heaps of Bollywood Drama

Don’t we all love South-Indian weddings? The lively ceremonies, the abundance of fresh flowers, gorgeous Kanjivaram silk sarees. The whole atmosphere is just buzzing with happiness and celebration – and Asha and Nirmal’s marriage was all of this and more!

A brightly-lit banquet hall hosted the marriage ceremony of this couple, which was dressed stunningly in traditional wedding attire. The bride donned a shimmery gold Kanjivaram silk saree given by her in-laws, symbolic of welcoming her into their family. She accessorised her look with traditional Kempu and coin jewellery, and had her long braid adorned with ravishing floral-patterned embellishments that added the perfect touch of elegance to her entire ensemble.

The "Oonjal" or swing ceremony, which the couple practiced with their families, had us aww-ing our hearts out! A swing decorated with bright-coloured fresh flowers was rocked gently. The swing's oscillating motion is a message for Asha and Nirmal that they must stay strong together during the challenges as well as the joys of life. Auspicious songs were sung by relatives and friends as they blessed this beautiful union. This “Oonjal” ritual also signifies support of family and friends during the couple's married life.

Once things were made official, this couple brought out their fun side in a funky post-wedding shoot together with their closest friends.
