Rahul & Ritika Chandigarh : Ritika planned her wedding in 3 months & its full of fun, quirky photos & offbeat wedding outfits!

Ritika and Rahul’s fairytale is more tale, less fairy, a truly modern affair that inspires others. With having less than 3 months to plan a wedding in a completely new city, to managing her own events alongside everything else and yet pulling of a wedding that has taken over Instagram, Ritika and Rahul have had their share of rollercoaster rides.

With the Bella Vista, Chandigarh wedding looming on the precipice, their story has tons of tips and tricks on executing the perfec wedding in a completely new city, all by yourself! 

The Mehendi

Ritika says, "My first rule of wedding planning was to always go for what i really wanted. I never wanted a really fomal wedding. I wanted people to have as much fun as possible and for my wedding to look naturally happy, excited and colorful. So that's what i went with for my mehndi function at Bella Vista, Chandigarh"

Colorful is right, for Ritika's mehndi function was full of quirky mehndi designs, endless dancing and cute poses that have given inspiration to future brides on the Weddingz.in Instagram page! The Wedding

What we first noticed about Ritika and Rahul's wedding was that it seemed to be entirely their own. The wedding function at Bella Vista, Chandigarh, was the perfect blend of charm and fun, with the couple entering on a Thar and centering their pre wedding shoot around a hookah!

"Since I only had 2-3 months to plan the entire wedding, completely on my own, there were several things that i kept in mind. Being an event planner myself, i knew what i wanted from the get go. My only trouble was finding vendors in a new city. Oncei  had those, it was all about managing my time and delegating tasks. For example, my wedding lehenga has been designed by me. It was easier to get it stitched according to my own requirements than to wait for a designer, since i only had about a month at that point of time. It also gave me the opportunity to personalise it." says Ritika.

Rahul continued, "Given an option, I'm sure Ritika would have skipped the whole hoopla and gotten married in a court. But we also wanted a wedding, so we decided that the whole three days should basically be the best time anyone has had. Within a budget, we wanted to surround ourselves with people, food and events we loved. That's the best advice we can give anyone!"
