Vivek & Roma Hua Hin : A 70mm Love Story

Vivek & Roma Hua Hin : A 70mm Love Story

Theatre, a place where people find their love for art, this couple found soul mates in each other. Here is a story of Roma and Vivek who met at a movie theatre and things clicked between them.

How They Met

Both of them met four years ago! Sounds very filmy isn’t it? But who doesn’t like to have a filmy love story. Their common interest of travelling is what brought them even closer. After travelling extensively, they realised that they were made for each other and decided to tie the knot. Vivek proposed to Roma when she came to India in January 2018.

The wedding ceremonies were fun filled and as it was a destination wedding at the Palayana, Hua Hin, Thailand, it seemed like they all were spending a holiday together. Everyone was having fun and the entire event was a party that went on for many days! They had everything planned out with their event planner Suphatra Gulati from Exciting Episodes Events. When asked about how they managed to coordinate everything while working they said that with proper coordinators from your wedding planner you can get your planning done easily. They didn’t have to interfere much since all the vendors like the MUA, designers, etc. were chosen by the event planner. The couple loved the way everything was managed and how it all turned out.

The Wedding Ceremonies

Haldi & Mehendi

The ceremonies kicked off with Haldi. Roma looked very bubbly and cute in her lehriya yellow saree and pink blouse accompanied with floral jewellery. Vivek kept it simple with a plain yellow kurta and white pyjama while smeared in haldi. Next was the mehendi which was a very peppy function! There were dholis playing dhol and special performances from both the bride and groom. Roma wore a mirror work multi coloured choli with a green seafoam hued lehenga. She paired them with jhumkas and maang tika which completed the look. Vivek looked sophisticated in white kurta pyjama with an abstract printed blue bandhgala jacket.

Pool Party

After the mehendi function the families went on to celebrate with a pool party which was one of the most happening events during the wedding week. The couple made their entry with dancers holding coloured smoke sticks behind them. Roma looked chic in her ankle length one piece floral dress with a yellow lace at the end. She kept it simple with a pair of multicoloured long earrings. Vivek kept it minimal with white t-shirt and jeans paired with a blue printed jacket. Everyone had a gala time while the drinks just kept pouring in. It was a fantastic party to say the least with people pushing the bride and the groom in the pool being the highlight of it!

Cocktail Party

It was a perfect blend of enjoyment and emotions. The families enjoyed the evening to the fullest with non stop drinks and dance. The couple burned the dance floor with their moves. Roma looked gorgeous in her black lace mermaid dress with Vivek perfectly complementing her in formal black and white trouser and shirt paired with a velvet jacket to complete the look. Both got lots of pictures clicked with their gang of friends.

Wedding Reception

Since the couple tied the knot at The Palayana, Hua Hin, Thailand, the reception was hosted in Surat for the friends and family in India to attend. This was a close knit affair with only the near and dear ones. Roma wore a cedar hued dress and kept it very simple with just the red chooda in her hand and simple mangalsutra. Vivek looked princely in the red and black floral sherwani.

All in all the wedding was a grand affair with guests from both India and Thailand making their special day the most memorable in their lives.
