Scrolling through instagram last night, it was no surprise when we saw Manish Malhotra post a picture of Urmila Matondkar in her complete bridal avatar, and she looked absolutely ravishing.  While the news of her marrying businessman turned model, Mohsin Akhtar completely caught us off-guard – why she picked Manish Malhotra to design her bridal lehenga was not so astounding. Manish Malhotra and Urmila Matondkar’s careers in the industry have been intertwined right from the onset of the designer’s career.  This stunning actor cum model was the face of his designs even before Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt showcased his collections.

Picked from his latest Regal Threads Collection, Urmila donned an extravagant bridal lehenga choli  in traditional hues of red and gold with breathtaking jewellery that included a choker, a delicate polki maatha patti and layered gold neckpieces that contributed to her rather regal bridal look, but our favorite bit definitely were the green glass bangles that added an old-world charm to her traditional bridal ensemble. Not to mention the delicate and unusually contrasting baby pink dupatta that really complimented and enhanced the magnificence of this traditional red and gold bridal outfit.
